"There's a huge amount of data out there about waste and recycling, but when you hear staggering numbers without context, it can be hard to wrap your head around what exactly those numbers mean. To help make this information more digestible, Earth911 has made many fact-o-grams, which help sum up a recycling figure with a few words and an image. We've compiled a list of our most popular fact-o-grams to give you a sense of how much we waste, how much we recycle and what impact recycling can have on daily life."
Earth911.com author Kathryn Sukalich has compiled some very interesting waste and recycling data.

Are you looking for way to greenify your office? Maybe try to start an in office recycling program or remodel the office in an eco way?
Earth911.com author Marry Mazzony has compiled a list of over 50 way to Green Your Workday;
"The average U.S. office worker uses 10,000 sheets of copy paper each year, adding up to 4 million tons of copy paper annually for all workers combined, according to the EPA.
But not all offices recycle, meaning that valuable recyclables like paper, cans and bottles end up in the landfill instead of being made into new products.
If you’re an ardent recycler at home, there’s nothing worse than watching your co-workers toss paper and soda cans into the trash because your office doesn’t have a recycling program. But don’t get discouraged; Earth911 is here to help!
We assembled a step-by-step guide to help you set up an office recycling program that can both conserve the planet’s resources and save your organization money."

Bring in your old incandescent holiday lights, and they will swap them for brand new, energy-efficient LED holiday lights (color and white strings), all at no charge! We have a limited supply of holiday lights and they are available on a first come, first serve basis. Earth911.Org author Marry Mazzoni has writen a great article about Tips for a Green Halloween.
Decorating your home for the spooky season doesn't have to take a toll on the planet. Opt for creative, reusable decor to cut back on holiday waste;
When purchasing decor items, choose high-quality products that can withstand years of reuse, instead of single-use, disposable decor. For example, this handmade cloth banner from Etsy seller TheCharmingCart can be reused year after year, unlike those disposable plastic banners that tend to break after only one season.
Or forgo purchased decorations altogether and use fall’s bounty to garnish your home: autumnal leaves, apples, pumpkins and gourds. These natural items can adorn your abode through Thanksgiving and are compostable when the two fall holiday are over.
For added reuse flair, you can also recycle your trash into Halloween decor - turning old coffee and soup cans or milk jugs into jack-o-lanterns.
Check out even more reusable decor ideas, along with loads more tips for a sustainable holiday, at Earth911.
