Reusable Foodware Ordinance

On May 10, 2022, the Marin County Board of Supervisors adopted the Reusable Foodware Ordinance.

The ordinance uses the hierarchy of reusables are best, compostable fiber is compliant, and single-use plastics are prohibited. Minimizing the amount of disposable items we consume can help reduce landfill waste and lower greenhouse gas emissions.

Reusables are best!
