The Zero Waste Marin Joint Powers Authority received funding from State agency CalRecycle to help achieve compliance with SB 1383, the Short-Lived Climate Pollutants Act. Among other requirements, SB 1383 requires recovery of surplus edible food from large commercial edible food generators.
The purpose of this mini-grant program is to help Marin’s food pantries and community groups implement edible food recovery and redistribute edible food to vulnerable populations.
