Join Zero Waste Marin for 2026 North Bay Zero Waste Week, October 10th – 17th! Events will be hosted in Marin, Sonoma, and Napa. There will be a variety of events hosted during Zero Waste Week to bring various elements of zero waste to the community. We hope to see you at our events!
The Great Closet Clean-Out returns after the inaugural event in 2025! Donate clean, gently used clothing for men, women, and kids as well as Halloween costumes. Donation drop-offs are only accepted September 21 – October 4. Accepting volunteers to organize and sort clothing, costumes, and accessories! Volunteer 2.5 or more hours and receive 30-minutes of early access time before the event opens to the public. Sign up to volunteer today!

Join the City of San Rafael for a Halloween costume swap! Bring unused or gently used costumes in good condition to the swap, and/or “shop” for free at the swap to find your Halloween costume! The Costume Swap will take place during the final night of Movies in the Park at sunset, featuring a showing of Toy Story 5.
Join Zero Waste Marin and Reuse Alliance at the Novato Repair Fair! Bring your household items to work with a Repair Coach for free to work collaboratively on fixing your item. Pre-registration is strongly encouraged.
Visit Marin Sanitary Service for a tour of their Recycling Center and Transfer Station! See what happens to your recycling, compost, and landfill materials after they are picked up from your home, business, or school. Pre-registration is strongly encouraged.
