Tape Battery Terminals
Cover the terminals with clear or electrical tape (no duct tape).

Place in a Clear Bag
Store taped batteries in a clear plastic bag.

Drop Off for Recycling
Take batteries to the HHW Facility or a participating collection site.
Marin County’s Battery Take-Back Program provides residents with free, convenient recycling options throughout the county. Retail drop-off locations are for residents only.
